This post is deserving of more detail and description, but I just couldn't wait to start posting a handful of photos from the amazing Chloe Spring/Summer 2012 show held on Monday in Paris.
Soft, drapey and in shades of foundation and blush the clothes were just dreamy. Perfect for the unseasonably scorching weather in Paris. It was the stuff of postcards -- brilliant sun and azure blue skies -- ideal except for the fact it was early October and all the fashion pack were itching to break out their new autumn clothes. Instead, they were scouring the leftover summer remnants on the sales racks at Zara for something to wear in the sweltering heat.
Okay, so the armholes may have been a little too ventilated. I mean, how much double-stick tape is a girl supposed to wear in the name of decency?
The accessories were gorgeous and immediately covetable. The shoes were still a bit clunky and chunky for my taste, but there were some great sandal options and the heels were becoming a bit more feminine.
I just love the look this woman is sharing with The Sartorialist, Scott Schumann. I'd run into him about an hour before, pushing his bike in front of me through the Palais Royale. I've met him once before—he's a lovely and interesting man—and had just seen him before I left for Europe, riding his bike in the West Village.
I love this photo of Anna Wintour, all alone, punctual —even a bit early for the show and patiently waiting in her assigned seat without her signature Chanel sunglasses on. Even from the back, she's immediately recognizable.
I'm not sure who this heavenly creature was, seated next to Alexa Chung. She looked like a mermaid who's just traded in her fins.
The roof of the tent had been opened in an attempt to prevent the fashion pack from baking in the tent like "poisson en papillote."
Ines de le Fressange made a tight navy polo shirt and marigold jeans, with flat black sandals look effortlessly sexy. Compared to her, many other woman looked like they were trying way too hard (I'm looking at you, Anna Della Russo!).

Oh I just fell in love with your blog, it is so smart and chic!

I love Chloe. If you want to talk about the definition of ethereal then you'd go with Chloe. Unfortunately, the only Chloe that I can afford is the namesake perfume (which smells absolutely divine). One day... <3
